Brian’s Story
Brian Gates, franchise owner of Asentiv Hertfordshire and Co-Executive Director of BNI Essex, is passionate about empowering business owners to achieve their goals, and grow their business through referral marketing.
At school, Brian was told he would never achieve his dream of going to university through the traditional academic routes, but Brian’s resilience and determination to succeed led to him fulfilling that dream and completing a BA degree in Sports Industry Business Management at New Bucks University.
Brian then went on to work as a Leisure Centre Operations Manager and ran his own Sports Coaching Company, teaching school children all over Hertfordshire, before moving into his family’s security business, which he ran for over fifteen years.
Brian joined BNI in 2008 as a member and became a Director Consultant in November 2010. He was named BNI Area Director of the year in 2017 and received outstanding performance awards for his role as a Director Consultant in both 2015 and 2016.
In February 2018, Brian had built his family security business to the point where he could sell the business and concentrate solely on his referral coaching business and his BNI Essex Franchise, where he is the Co-Executive Director with Phil Berg. With his management qualifications and Asentiv and BNI marketing training, Brian wakes up every day, excited about helping business owners to create a fantastic business and a spectacular life.
Brian currently lives in St Albans, Herts, with his wife Jacqui and baby boy Fletcher. Outside of running his business, his hobbies are Cars and Watches. He also loves spending time with his wonderful family and taking holidays.
