Steve’s Story
Steve started his business career in 1995, joining the family business. In 2001 he became the Sales Director and by 2008 he was Managing Director.
He often cites being an MD of a £1m+ business in the middle of a recession is quite a “character building experience”. There are so many challenges business owners face and in the tough times these are only amplified, but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. He draws on these experiences all of the time now in his role as a business advisor and mentor and often says that the lessons learned in the tough times often outweigh the experiences gained in the good times! But they’ve all add up to make him the person / coach / advisor he is today.
During 2020 he was keen to add to his portfolio and being a BNI member for over 5 years and launching a new chapter as a Director Consultant gave him the appetite to develop his skills in Referral Marketing and take it to the next level as a Relationship Marketing Specialist and Trainer. Towards the end of 2020 Steve trained with Asentiv to become an Asentiv Coach. He now helps business owners develop their own businesses through a combination of skills and experiences in his own professional background as well as using the structured programme developed by Asentiv.

Outside of work Steve is married to Jo and they have two (adult) children, George and Jamie. He is a passionate golfer, loves Heavy Metal and unfortunately supports Tottenham Hotspur!
